The future of Real Estate Photo editing

When I was a real estate photographer from 2015-2020, I went from editing my own photos to needing to hire editors. The only way real estate photography editing was possible at the time was by hiring editors in India, Vietnam, the Philippines, etc. Because they're the only people who are able to edit photos all day for $0.50-$1 per photo, roughly $4 per hour for each editor in each editing firm. I always felt uneasy hiring what seemed like slave labor, but it was the only way. By the time I sold my business and retired, AI was not good enough to use AT ALL. Now, there are a handful of AI real estate photo editing platforms. However, the best is yet to come. Instant editing, that does not rely on prompt-based editing as it's way of editing. No "turn this photo into a real estate photo, fix proportions, pull windows". But actual editing, the way human editors would, but instantly.

I used to wait 24-78 hours for photos to come back from the editors, while my clients somehow wanted their photos back the day before I even took them. AI is getting there, but it still has mistakes. This will not put the underpaid overseas editors out of business either. It will help them!
